Medication To Increase Fertility – Testosterone Replacement Therapy & hCG at CJA Balance Clinics in the UK
At CJA Balance, we believe in balancing TRT with hCG if you want to protect your fertility and improve your own testosterone function.
Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin – more commonly known as hCG – is used to increase sperm count in men. It is a prescription-only medicine in the UK and can be prescribed by the medical team at CJA Balance.
Men who are on Testosterone Replacement Therapy sometimes take hCG to increase their fertility if they are planning to have children. Taking this medication can also restore the size of a man’s testes.
Research into the effectiveness of hCG and fertility was carried out in 2015 and concluded that combination therapy with hCG and supplemental medications was effective in treating men with testosterone-related infertility.
A 2013 study published in the Journal of Urology also concluded that low-dose hCG injections helped to prevent a reduction in sperm count as a result of TRT. Of the 26 men treated with TRT and hCG, nine contributed to pregnancy with a partner. The study proved that hCG injections helped to prevent sperm reduction and preserve the fertility of the men treated.
A 2005 study conducted at the University of Washington School of Medicine examined the effects of hCG on the intra-testicular testosterone (ITT), which is a more accurate measure of male fertility. It proved that a small amount of hCG is enough to counteract the negative effects of TRT, promoting a healthy sperm count, motility, and viability.
