If you have symptoms of low testosterone and have made the decision to check your levels and consider commencing treatment then the information below highlights the usual patient journey and costs involved in starting testosterone replacement therapy (TRT).
These are for a new patient without any prior investigations into their hormone levels. If you have already had blood testing or have been on treatment with an other provider then please use the contact form and one of the team will contact you to advise on an individual basis for the costing and requirements before commencing TRT with CJA balance.
Initial Testosterone Blood Test £54.99 (limited time 15% discount – £46.75)
This test checks total and free testosterone levels to determine if they are low and fit with your clinical symptoms. You can order blood tests in the UK here.
Pre-Consultation Blood Test £99.99
This test provides confirmation of low testosterone plus baseline tests required before starting testosterone replacement. This test includes checking levels of your other pituitary hormones including thyroid, cortisol and prolactin, oestradiol, ferritin, full blood count, prostate specific antigen, liver and kidney function.
Consultation with your doctor £170.99
CT or MRI Pituitary £200-£300
Rarely patients require further imaging of their pituitary gland to rule out a cause within the head for their low testosterone. If this is the case your CJA balance doctor may refer you for imaging with one of our private partner radiological diagnostic centres.
Monthly Subscription £70-£130
This is a monthly fee for your medication, administrative and medical support. There is no additional cost for you to speak with your CJA Balance doctor. This includes letters to your general practitioner and travel documents should they be required.
Monthly subscriptions range from £70-£130 depending on the choice of treatment agreed between you and your doctor.
Additional Costs – Blood Testing
The only additional costs are for the blood testing to ensure your treatment is monitored and to ensure your safety.
Six Week Blood Test – to check initial response to treatment. £62.99
Three Month Blood Test – Blood test required before your three month doctor review. £92.99
Six Month Blood Test – Blood test required before your six month doctor review £92.99
CJA balance patients then have continuous blood monitoring on a six monthly basis £92.99 per test
Clinical Reviews
Once stable on treatment reviews are at three months, six months then every twelve months. There are no additional charges for reviews. Should you have any issues or side effects while on treatment then telephone consultations with your doctor are included in your monthly subscription.
